LOOK YOUR BEST FOR SUMMER
Spring has sprung and summer will be here soon! It is time to get in shape. If you are already following the raw food lifestyle you no doubt are ahead of the game. A little tune up for summer may be all that is needed. If so, here are a few things you can do.
Continuing last month's theme, reduce your sugar. Use stevia to satisfy your sweet tooth with the desserts, or cut down on them. You can also get your sweets naturally, through fruit.
Exercise. Get some exercise every day. Mix it up, some days doing cardio, while other days lifting heavy weights. There is also High Intensity Training (HIT) which is a mixture of both. I use HIT for the bulk of my training, while setting aside a few days per month for just cardio (jogging) or endurance (power walking several miles)
Limit your fruit consumption for earlier in the day, when you will burn up their carbs. Put special emphasis on green vegetables, nuts and seeds, which are tasty and satisfying. Even though nuts and seeds have fat, they are not particularly fattening, unless eaten in excess. This is because they contain the good, unsaturated fat, including the omega 3's.
