Raw Food Recipes!

simple raw food recipes

Try some simple raw food recipes to see if you might enjoy a raw food lifestyle. These are courtesy of our friend Matteo from Chicago.

Note: Wash all fruit and vegetables prior to making these recipes.

RYE CRACKERS

1 Loaf of rye bread broken up.

Leftover pulp of tomato soup. (see below)

1 Teaspoon of sea salt.

A splash of lemon juice.

1 To 1 ½ Teaspoons of curry powder or cumin.

Put all ingredients in a large bowl and mix thoroughly. Lay between Teflex sheets and roll out with a rolling pin until flat and thin. Dehydrate overnight at 105 degrees until texture is crisp, but not hard.

TOMATO SOUP

2 Large tomatos.

2 Large red peppers.

1 Teaspoon of white miso.

A splash of lemon juice.

Put tomatoes and red peppers through juicer and save the pulp. (see above recipe) Put the juice in a blender and add the miso and lemon juice. Blend until smooth.

GREEN JUICE

4-5 Leaves of lacinto kale or dinosaur kale.

2 Long ribs of celery.

1 Apple.

1” Piece of ginger, peeled.

1/4 Cup of parsley or 2 ounces of wheatgrass juice.

1/2 Lemon, peeled.

Put all the ingredients through a juicer, stir and enjoy!

GREEN SOUP

3/4 Cup of water.

1/2 Medium orange, peeled.

1 ½ Cups of kale.

1/2 Apple.

1 Tablespoon of light miso.

1 Tablespoon of lemon juice.

1/2 Clove garlic.

1/4 Red jalepeno.

1/4 Cup of basil or cilantro.

1/4 To 1/2 Avocado.

Put all ingredients except basil or cilantro and avocado in blender and blend. Then add the basil or cilantro and avocado and blend until smooth. Add a little chili oil and dehydrated seeds for garnish!
