Sandy's Green Drink

by Sandy Page
(Powder Springs, GA, USA)

In a Vita-Mix blender:

Assorted vegetables
Fresh garlic (to taste)
Fresh herbs
Sprouts
Buckwheat lettuce
Sunnies
About 1 oz of almonds
1\2 large sweet onion
1 avocado
1 peeled, whole lemon (add lemon juice for more tang)
Add 3 long "squeezes" of Braggs Liquid Aminos (or to taste).
Pour in orange juice almost to top.

Turn on blender.
While blending, add assorted dark greens (collard/turnip/mustard greens, chard, kale, spinich, etc.) until mixture is bright green.
Turn blender on high until texture is smooth.

Add or subtract vegetables for desired consistency.
Greens & sprouts add "bite" to the flavor, so add or subtract to taste.

My last batch had 26 ingredients, but recipe can be simplified to just a few veggies, greens, Braggs, lemon juice & OJ. Flavor is determined by the garlic, onion & Braggs. Sweetness/tartness comes from lemons & OJ. Avocado provides creaminess.
