In this issue I will be addressing the first issue most people who are new to raw food want to know. How do I start the Raw Food Lifestyle (Raw Vegan Eating)? Since it is best for most people to start gradually, I will break this down into a 6 part series on how to go raw, starting from the SAD (Standard American Diet)

Part 1: For the next month, stop drinking coffee, milk, soda, fruit juice etc. The only thing you should drink is good old water. Bottled, iced, filtered, tap, cold, warm, it does not matter, just drink water. Replace all your other drinks entirely. Also, make sure you drink a MINIMUM of 48 ounces per day. You may not think this is a big deal, but wait and see your results at the end of the month!

Nutty Cereal:

Want to take a break from all the veggies and have a nice bowl of cereal? Try this. Take a handful of raw almonds that you have been soaking for at least 4 hours, a handful or raw walnut halves, and a handful of quick oats (oatmeal). Break up the nuts into smaller pieces, and combine in a bowl with the quick oats. Add about 6 ounces of unsweetened almond milk. Sprinkle in some cinnamon and stevia if you want it sweeter. Enjoy!
